This entry contains an art piece and comic strip by Julio Salgado entitled Liberty for All #16. This entry demonstrates the unique experiences confronted by undocumented students in the U.S. This comic strip tells a compelling story of an youth undocumented girl. Her name characterizes the mission of this piece well—Liberty. Although the content of the strip is not directly about education, it does demonstrate resilience on the part of Liberty to maneuver policies and systems that have criminalized her. This entry demonstrates the experience that black students confront at Harvard in regards to race and racism. More importantly, it demonstrates how these students reveal a critical awareness and knowledge about how racism continues to impact their educational institution.
