It is with much gratitude that we invite you to explore our
website. This website was created as a part of a Multicultural Perspectives
course taught at Seattle University in winter 2014. The content of this website
explores the connection between the cultural deficit model and racism in United
States schools. We, the authors, encourage you to browse the site, learn more
about the role of culture in education, and unmask the cultural capital of
students of color.

- Who Is Unmasking The Issue? This section explores individuals, association, and institutions working to unmask the cultural deficit model in the P-20 school pipeline.

connected to the topic of cultural deficit model. Each of these contributions
adds insight into our topic.
